Rainforest pics

Tall treesI don’t have many pics of the rainforest. Hopefully this one shows you how tall all the trees are. There are loads of swinging vines. I can see how tarzan could live quite happily here!
I need my roots doing!

The funny alien like strands on the other picture are tree roots. They look as if the tree is being pushed up into the air.

  1. Hi Guys

Sounds like your trip has got off to an exciting start, you all look like you are having a fab time. The weather looks slightly different to that of good old England – living up to its reputation it’s dull, cold, windy and wet! When the weather was better (29th June) we all went to the Guildhall Tea Dance, music and dancing was good – lots of crinklies ‘doing their thing’ foxtrotting around the dance floor (that’ll be us one day).

Have been busy busy making wedding cakes (one for Pat’s daughter) and other cakes, did a Celebration cake for the NHS 60th celebrations, I put a ration book and rationed food on the top, with a trombone/glasses & musical notes for the big band sound. I was going to put an unexploded bomb on the cake which I thought would be cool, however they were going to donate the cake to one of the wards and if it was an elderly ward it may have upset them (especially if someone had been bombed out!).

MOGlet (alias Ron) is well and very busy landscaping our postage stamp of a garden. We now have a new fence, the foundations for a small patio and this week (in the rain) he hopes to make the deck. Hopefully we’ll get some sun soon so we can enjoy it.

Better go, carrying on having lots of fun – enjoy your adventure in the van.

    Love Hils & Ron xxxx

  2. Hi Robbie, Claire, Jack, Bronte and others,
The rainforest pictures bring back many memories. Poor Robbie fancy teasing you with the little creepy crawlies! Glad you enjoyed the Steve Irwin memorial Jack and all of the animals.Didn’ recognise Bronte in the picture with that Jasmine, I thought you were a film star Bron. Sun tan, good looks and all of that! Haven’t heard much from PR or is it PG lately. Has he found a nice warm pouch somewhere? Weather here is atrocious, strong winds and rain and Nana has gone to Wales with Maisie (who needs a break after the upset over the Jasmine saga).
Take care, have fun. Lookforward to next snippets.
